These coconut scrubbers are naturally hard for cleaning baked-on messes, and are slightly absorbent/gentle enough for enamel and non-stick cookware. They are even ideal for cleaning cast iron. Use them to scrub vegetables or as a soap saver, these 100% plant-based, and truly biodegradable and compostable scrubbers are a great addition to any eco-kitchen!
Ingredients: Coconut husk fibers from reclaimed coconuts. Natural latex tapped from rubber trees. Cotton thread.
Directions: The coconut fiber scrubber is best used for tough messes on pots, pans, cast iron, enamel, and natural dishware like coconut bowls. Coconut scouring pads shed fibers over time. This is natural, and it's safe to wash the coconut fibers down the drain. When used as a soap saver, you can remove soap residue by rinsing the pad and squeezing it dry. Water flows through it, and it dries quickly. You can use the soap pad to wipe down the sink and then rinse and dry it.
These little guys are the perfect replacement for those green synthetic scrubby pads. They soften with use and eventually wear out (just like the synthetic alternative) but these can just be composted once they're done. Also no need to worry about washing micro-plastics down the drain! I find they last about a month of regular use.
